It was a classic rainy day in Seattle which I’ve grown to embrace. Especially when the light is soft and delicate all day long. The Rainier Chapter House fits right in to that aesthetic. In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful venues in Seattle. It was built in 1920 and is almost an exact replica to Mount Vernon (George Washington’s residence). One of my favorite parts about old places like this is the pictures inside. When you’re looking at an old image of people standing exactly where you’re standing, it’s hard not to feel a part of something greater.
This day was actually Hayley + Casey’s vow renewal about one year after they said they’re original vows. Hearing them recommit themselves after a year of marriage and after having a child was an amazing thing to witness. The celebration was full of passion and I heard some of the best toasts I’ve heard in a long time. Congratulations to you both and thank you for inviting me along!
