A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

First off, thank you for stopping by and taking the time to peruse our work. Documenting weddings has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I’m excited about each and every inquiry I receive and honored when those couples say yes. The work you see here is more than just clicking a button, it’s capturing a future legacy. With every celebration I’m invited to witness, I feel that responsibility.

We’re a bit flowery, romantic, and love making space for you and your love. We are the artists for you if you have dreamy, romantic visions of your day full of images of moments that flew by too quickly.

Meet the Team

LYNNSEY

FOUNDER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Lynnsey founded Lionlady in Seattle in 2013. She has always loved photographing moments from parties in college to months abroad wandering far flung countries. Now she immerses herself in wedding days which carry so much joy, connection, and reminders of legacies before us.

Over the past ten years she’s documented 150+ weddings in the PNW, California, NYC, and Europe. She tends to romanticize her life and will likely romanticize yours.

She’s married to the love of her life Ian and they welcomed a baby girl in March 2021. Outside of photography, she’s obsessed with learning languages & turning her property into a giant permaculture garden.
JULIA

PHOTOGRAPHER

Julia has been photographing weddings since 2010, and over the past decade has had the honor of witnessing love stories of all shapes and sizes come together in front of her camera. No two journeys to “we do” look the same, and the diversity of her couples is part of what Julia loves about this job most of all.

As an enneagram 3 and INFJ, storytelling is what drew her to weddings, and having the chance to serve couples by creating an inclusive space for people of all backgrounds within the industry is what has kept her here.

She is based in Seattle where she lives with her husband and their four legged crew, and has a newfound passion for houseplants.
LEXI

PHOTOGRAPHER

Lexi is a PNW elopement and intimate wedding photographer. She loves people and really loves love. It’s a powerful force that alters lives, adds value, and has the ability to seep to the innermost corners of our hearts. Love is big, and your love is a big deal to her.

She believes love lives most vibrantly in the unique way you interact with each other. The soft, giddy, messy, intimate, imperfect and unposed moments that you share together. She strives to capture just that.

When not at a wedding, you’ll find her cruising the country in her sprinter van finding new camp spots and climbing crags.
CHELSEA

VIDEOGRAPHER

Chelsea’s love for film was inspired by her love of human stories and the outdoors. After graduating with a BA in Documentary Film from Fredonia in New York she spent four months hiking the Pacific Crest Trail – so she’s the real deal.

While on the trail she fell in love with the west coast and moved to Seattle shortly afterwards settling in the Fremont neighborhood with her partner Kyle.

She’s been documenting weddings and commercial work for the past eight years. Chelsea has the ability to talk to anyone and brings infectious positivity & energy to any project she’s a part of.
